16 year old Manu Bhaker clinches gold for India in 10m shooting in CWG 2018

Playing her first Commonwealth Games aged just 16-year-old, Manu Bhakkar won the gold for India. So far, India had won all its medals in weightlifting, Manu gave India the first gold medal for shooting India in the 21st Commonwealth Games 2018. For India, these events brought double happiness because star shooter Heena Siddhu won the Silver Medal of India at the same event.
In the women’s 10 meter air pistol event, Manu won Gold with score of 240.9 (which is also the new Commonwealth Games record). At the same time, Hina was slightly behind her and won the Silver Medal with a score of 234.0. Australia’s Elena Galibovitch won the bronze medal with a score of 214.9.

Manu and Heena were involved in a tough competition among themselves, while Australia’s Elena who was third was a long distance away from them. In this way, India’s account now has six gold, two silver and one bronze medal. After winning both these medals, India reached number three in medal tally. Australia and England are ahead of India, while India left Canada behind.
