27 killed as school bus falls 200 feet into gorge in Himachal Pradesh

Today, a private school bus fell 200 feet deep into a deep ditch near village Chaili, in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. The driver and two teachers, including 24 children, were killed in the accident, while ten children were injured. Most of the children killed in the accident were between 5 to 12 years old.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Jayaram Thakur has tweeted, according to which the sad news of the school bus accident came from Noorpur’s  Malkwal. “We all have deep condolences to this incident and I express my condolences to the families of the deceased. In this hour of sadness, the government is with all the affected families. I wish all the injured victims to get well soon. Administration is mobilized for every possible help and ordered an immediate judicial inquiry into the incident.” Food and Supplies Minister Kishan Kapoor has been instructed to go on the spot. According to the information, a school bus of Ram Singh Pathania Memorial School fell 200 feet into a gorge. Children injured in the accident have been admitted to a nearby hospital. Where some children are in critical condition and others are out of danger. This village is near the border of Chamba and Kangra districts.
