Higher Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat faces protests from locals in Pauri
Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Minister of State for Higher Education in Uttarakhand, who came to lay the foundation stone of a one kilometer block motorway in Pauri’s Thalisain block, had to face opposition from the locals. Here the women of Chopra village staged a protet against the governemtn. Seeing the anger of the women, the police and the administration were taken by surpirse. Somehow, the Minister of State was taken safely.
There was a scuffle between the women and the Minister of State Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat on the pedestrian trail for the Khandakil village. Its video has been viral on social media. Meanwhile, SDM Mayadutt Joshi said that to stop the construction of a one km road, State Minister was traveling on foot for laying the foundation stone in Khandakil village, when some women from Chopra village started attacking the officials.
On the other hand, the Minister of State, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that the foundation stone of road work was laid on the demand of villagers. People of some opposition parties are frustrated with development works and thus are trying to create an issue. But it is wrong to interrupt development work.
