Yellow alert for Dehradun-Nainital for heavy rains on September 3

There is a possibility of heavy rain in Dehradun and Nainital districts in the next 24 hours. Meteorologists have also issued a yellow alert. According to the advisory issued by the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places with strong thunder in most areas of these districts. From the plain to the other areas of the mountain, along with strong wind, there is a possibility of rain at some places.

Director of Meteorological Center and senior meteorologist Vikram Singh said that during the next 24 hours, there is a need to be vigilant in terms of disaster management in Dehradun and Nainital. The officials of the State Disaster Management Department have been apprised in this regard. On the other hand, in view of the possibility of heavy rains in the capital and surrounding areas, District Magistrate Sonika has directed the officials related to disaster management to remain alert.
