One person dies after being struck by lightning in Uttarkashi
A person died after being struck by lightning in Gamra Tok, village of Naugaon block of Uttarkashi’s Sarana village. While two cattle were burnt. Here, there is a possibility of rain and hailstorms in Uttarakhand in the next 24 hours. On Tuesday evening in Uttarkashi, the sudden change of weather took place. Here in the village of Sarana, at about 6:30 in the evening, there was a lightning alongwith thunder storm.
After being hit by it, 50-year-old Shyamu Lal got scorched and died shortly after. Two cattle were also killed with celestial electricity in the nearby cowshed.
On the other hand, according to the forecast of the State Meteorological Center, there may be light rain along with thunder in Doon and the surrounding areas. In hilly areas, there is possibility of hail along with rains in isolated places. On Tuesday, in some areas of the state, the weather has changed. Light snowfall occurred in Chardham, whereas in Chamoli and the Uttarkashi district rainfall accompanied by hailstorm have reduced the temperature of these areas by two to four degrees.
There was heavy hail in many villages of the marginal tehsil tyuni area. Causing massive damage to apple gardens and other crops. Half an hour of hailstorm between one to two o’clock in the afternoon caused considerable damage to the crops of farmers and gardeners.
