Bus meets with accident near Mussoorie on Dehradun-Mussoorie route

An unfortunate bus accident took place on the Mussoorie Dehradun road on Sunday. A roadways bus with around 40 passengers, fell into a gorge. According to the police, two people have died. Local people including police and ITBP jawans were busy in pulling out the injured from the accident site. Three people are seriously injured. While 19 injured have been sent to Dehradun.

According to the information received so far, the bus accident took place five km before Mussoorie near Sher Ghadi on the Mussoorie Dehradun Highway. As soon as the information about this accident was received, the police-administration team is engaged in relief-rescue work on the spot. The bus was returning from Mussoorie to Dehradun when it fell into a 100 meter deep gorge near Sher Ghadi. Due to the accident, there has been a long queue of vehicles on both sides.

Police investigating the cause of the accident

ITBP, SDRF, Fire and Police rescued the passengers with the help of local people. SDM Nandan Kumar, ITBP Director PS Dangwal also reached the spot. The police is probing the cause of the accident.

The bus was returning from Mussoorie to Dehradun when on the way it fell into a 100 meter deep gorge near the Sher Ghadi. There was a long queue of vehicles on both sides of the accident site. The situation of heavy jam was seen on the Dehradun Mussoorie Highway.
