India finish 3rd with 66 medals in Common Wealth Games 2018

21st Commonwealth Games will be memorable for Indian players. India has won a total of 66 medals in the Gold Coast. India, with 26 gold, 20 silver and 20 bronze medals, remained third in the medal tally. Australia (80 Gold) and England (44 Gold) remained first and second respectively. This is the third best performance in India’s Commonwealth Games history. Earlier, in the Delhi Commonwealth Games, India had won the most 38 gold medals. Apart from this, India’s 30 gold medals came in the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
Indian athletes won medals in 9 games, the highest number of 7 gold medal shootings. After this, India made history by winning 5 Gold Medal for the first time in weightlifting.
