Dehradun to host T20 International between Afghanistan and Bangladesh

On the initiative of the Afghan Cricket Board, the newly-formed Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun will host three T20 matches with Afghanistan and Bangladesh on June 3.

Talking to reporters in the Secretariat, Sports Minister Arvind Pandey said that the Afghanistan cricket team will reach Dehradun on 28th May for the T20 International Cricket. The schedule for the Bangladesh team to arrive on May 29 is fixed. Afghanistan team will play practice match with Uttarakhand Cricket team between May 18 and June 3. He told that the authorities have been instructed to finalize the preparations for the safety of the players.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board has given a desire to make the cricket stadium located in Doon as its home ground. In the past, the chairman of the Afghan Cricket Board had visited Doon two times to see the Doon Cricket Stadium. According to sources, the team of Afghanistan will stop at Ramada Hotel on Chakrata Road, while the Bangladesh team will stay in a hotel located in Selaqui.
