Married woman jumps with 3 children in Ganga canal in Roorkee

A married woman jumped after throwing three children in Ganganagar. Local swimmers pulled out all four of them, but by then all the three children had died. The woman has been admitted to the hospital, her condition is being told to be out of danger. In the preliminary investigation, the case appears to be related to family issue. At present the police have not received any complaints from any side. The woman’s husband works as a waste collector in New Tehri.

The event is of Thursday evening. According to eyewitnesses, a woman reached the Ganeshpur bridge of Ganga nahar with her three innocent children. Before anybody could understand something, the woman threw the three children in Ganga nahar one by one and after that she jumped herself. Seeing this, the people of the surrounding area were surprised, only then some swimmers taking bath out of Ganga nahar took out women and children.

The woman had the senses, but the three children were unconscious. They were taken to the civil hospital for treatment, where doctors declared the three infants dead. Ganga nahar Kotwali in-charge inspector Kamal KumarĀ  said that the woman named her name Farjana (25 years) wife Arshad resident of Sirchandi, Thana-Bhagwanpur. Suhana (4), Amir (2 years) and Ahad (six months) are children who have died. She was married to Arshad seven years ago. Arshad is currently living in Tehri. According to Kotwal, in the interrogation, Farjana told that in the morning there was a dispute with her mother-in-law. Being disturbed by the same thing, she had accompanied the three children to the village. With the intention of ending her life with the children as well, she tried to commit suicide by jumping into Ganga nahar. The woman was also ill for two months.
