Stormy weather in NCR throws life out of gear; Metro halted, flights diverted

The Delhi-NCR weather changed suddenly at four o’clock in the evening. Suddenly a dust storm alongwith high speed winds hit the NCR region. In Jhajjar-Jind of Haryana, strong winds have wreaked havoc. It became dark in the day itself. Electricity lines collapsed in many areas of Delhi, Gururgram and Noida There is news of hail fall in Jhajjar in Haryana. The weather has changed in Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh too. Trees and electric pillars have fallen on the street in many places.

Delhi Metro halted for 30 minuted due to bad weather

Trees have fallen in many places due to the strong rain. Hoarding has broken down on the roads, which has also disrupted the traffic. Airport traffic has also been affected due to weather changes. So far there is news to divert 10 flights. Delhi Metro service was also stopped for 30 minutes.
Earlier on Sunday, there was considerable heat in Delhi. The minimum temperature was five degree above normal at 30.6 degrees Celsius. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), it is the hottest morning of this season. The Meteorological Department had expressed the possibility of a stormy wind on Sunday.
