Uttarakhand weather changes drastically; MeT department predicts heavy rainfall in next 36 hours

Proving the prediction made by the MeT department to be correct, the weather in Uttarakhand changed on Wednesday. The dark grey clouds accompanied by strong winds provided relief from the sweltering heat in the plains.

There was a dusty storm in several parts of the state including Dehradun on Wednesday evening. Due to the passing of dust storm in the city people were caught off guard. There is information of falling trees in many places. While many areas of the city are reeling from power cut. Moderate to heavy rain has started after the storm.

Earlier the Meteorological Center had issued warnings running for the next 48 hours with widespread hail around the state. On Thursday, there was a slight rainfall forecast across the state. There were clouds throughout the capital on Wednesday. The temperature remained around 35 degrees. With strong winds running, temperature may fall significantly. The swirling gusts of wind have damaged the standing crop.
The mood swings of the weather in the state can increase people’s problems in the next 36 hours, from Garhwal to many areas of the Kumaon division. In the next 36 hours, the Meteorological Center has issued warnings of winds of 70-80 kilometers per hour along with hail and rain in some places in Uttarakhand.
