Popular folk singer Pappu Karki dies in road accident

Kumaoni singer Pappu Karki, who was returning to Haldwani, after a performing a show in the youth festival in Okhkalanda Ganiyari died in a road accident on Saturday morning. The other two youths in the car are seriously injured. They have been brought to Haldwani with the help of 108 ambulance. At present, the situation of both of them remains critical.

Pravendra Karki (Pappu Karki) was returning to Haldwani by performing with his four companions at the Youth Festival organized in Ganiyari. On Saturday morning, at around five o’clock in the morning, as soon as they reached Haidakhan temple, their Eon car lost control and fell into a deep ditch on the other side of the road. In the accident the car was completely damaged. Three of the five people who were in the car died on the spot. The deceased included singer, Pappu Karki son of Kishan Singh (34) resident Goraapadao Haldwani, Pushkar Singh son of Uttam Singh (33) resident Goniario Dhari (Nainital), Rajendra Singh son of Vishan Singh (31) resident of Goniario Dhari (Nainital) While Jugal Kishore Pant, son of Yogesh Chandra (24) resident Chadayil Haldwani and Ajay Arya son of  late Bhawan Prakash (22) resident Chorpani (Ramnagar) has suffered serious injuries in the accident. With the help of a standing 108 ambulance near the accident site, both the injured were brought to Krishna Hospital in Haldwani. Both the young men have suffered serious injuries. Both of them have been scanned. At present the condition of both of them remains critical.
