United Kingdom Parliament approves expansion of Heathrow Airport

London’s iconic Heathrow Airport expansion plan was approved in the UK House of Commons. British Prime Minister Theresa May also supported the scheme. In the House, it has 415 votes. The Heathrow airport’s third runway is to be expanded in the proposed plan.

According to the news agency Xinhua, on Monday there was a long broad discussion in the House. However, there were protests in the House against the expansion plan of Heathrow airport. These protesters sang songs and slogan before leaving the area peacefully. London Police say there was no arrest in view of this demonstration.
