Delhi government increases minimum wages bill
Delhi government has increased the minimum wage of workers. The new rates will be deemed to be applicable from October 1. After the increment, the wages of unskilled workers increased from 15,908 to 16064 and that of semi-skilled workers from 17,537 to 17,693. At the same time, the monthly salary of skilled workers has increased from Rs 19291 to Rs 19473.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Monday issued an order to increase the dearness allowance of unskilled, semi-skilled and other workers of Delhi, along with the Deputy Chief Minister has also directed to ensure payment with increased rate to all workers and employees.
Under Dearness Allowance, the rate of minimum wages of supervisor and clerical employees has also been increased. In these, the monthly salary of non-matriculated employees has been increased from Rs. 17537 to Rs. 17693, the monthly salary of matriculation but non-graduate employees has been increased from Rs. 19291 to Rs. 19473 and the monthly salary of employees with graduate and above educational qualification has been increased from Rs. 20976 to Rs. 21,184.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that keeping in mind the interests of the poor and the working class, this big step has been taken during the Corona pandemic. Employees of clerical and supervisor class will also get the benefit of this. He said that dearness allowance cannot be withheld to such workers in the unorganized sector, who normally get only minimum wages. Therefore, the Delhi government has announced a new minimum wage by adding dearness allowance.
Manish Sisodia said that although we are cutting many expenses of the government, but keeping in mind the interest of the workers, we have decided to increase their dearness allowance. higher than that of the state.
