10 class student dies after being burnt alive in Ranikhet

In Ranikhet, a tenth student was killed alive by two boys by setting him on fire. The student was brought to the state clinic Ranikhet in critical condition. Given the fragile situation, the doctors referred him to Haldwani.The boy however died on the way to Haldwani. Before dying student told the police that two unknown boys sprayed kerosene oil on him and set him on fire.

Dinesh Singh Bisht (15) son Tara Singh , a resident of Sonni village, was a student of Class 10 in GD Birla School Chilianaula. On Thursday, as usual, he left the house for morning walk. After some time, Dinesh was found in severely burnt condition about 200 meters from his house, 15 foot below the road. The morning walkers recognized him and informed the family. The family went took the boy to the state clinic. The police reached the spot as well.

In a statement to the SI Mary Peter, who reached the hospital, Dinesh said that he had left home for morning walk. Two unidentified boys caught him near the Sauni state school. Both of them sprayed kerosene on him and set him on fire. After this Dinesh’s condition worsened and he could not say anything. Dinesh was referred to Sushila Tiwari Hospital Haldwani. While traveling to Haldwani, Dinesh died on the way. Police is investigating the matter. In this regard, Principal of GD Birla School Mohammed Asim Ali said that he was not aware of the incident right now and will take information about the case. Dinesh’s father runs a shop in Sauni village.
