Aaron Finch creates world record in T20I; scores 172 runs in 76 balls

Australia opener and captain Aaron Finch created a world record in T-20 International. He played a scintillating innings of 172 against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club ground on Tuesday. Thanks to his whirlwind innings, Australia scored 229/2 in 20 overs. In reply, Zimbabwe scored 129/9 and Australia won by 100 runs.

Interestingly, Finch broke his own world record of 156, which he had made against England in 2013. Finch, 31,hitthe hapless Zimbabwe bowlers all around the park. Finch hit ten sixes and 16 fours in 76 balls.

Zimbabwe won the toss and chose to first. After this, Finch placed the runs on the scoreboard. He shared 223 runs for the first wicket with Darcy Short, which is the world record for any wicket in T-20 International. Short scored 46 runs.
