Doctors in Uttarakhand to go on strike from April 10 to 13

Angered doctors have decided to go on strike from April 10 due to non-hearing on pending demands. Doctors across the state will keep away from all services except emergency services and post-mortem duty from 10 April to April 12, while all types of services will be boycotted from April 13.

The emergency meeting of the provincial medical health care association Uttarakhand executive committee was held in the Directorate of Health under the chairmanship of Dr. DP Joshi on Saturday. All the speakers in the meeting decided that if the chief minister is not giving time for the talks, then the union should stop running from pillar to post in government offices and should directly boycott work.

The speakers alleged that neither the NDA, HRA, Hill Alliance, DACP’s Condition and Transfer Act nor the Directorate has sent any proposal to the government nor the government has negotiated this matter with the union. In this way, the Union General Secretary Dr. Dinesh Chauhan has declared the movement and the exclusion of medical work with the consent of all the officials. He said that before the boycott of the work, the meeting will be arranged in Srinagar, Haldwani, Almora and other districts of the union.
