Delhi Hauz Khas airhostess suicide: Police to conduct postmortem again

After being accused of death by relatives in the case of death of an air hostess in Delhi’s Hauz Khas area, the police has now decided to do the post mortem again. The cops are also recording video of postmortem of 39-year-old Delhi air hostess working in Lufthansa Airlines Anissia Batra. Meanwhile, a team of forensic labs has reached Anissia’s flat in Panchsheel Park area for further investigation.

Anissia’s family has accused her husband and his family of dowry. Earlier, Anissia Batra’s husband Mayank Singhaniya had told that Anissia jumped from the roof of the their house. It has also been found in the initial investigation that Anissia had sought help by sending messages to her family a few hours before the incident.

Police can also interrogate Mayank, husband of Anissia. Police have sealed the bank account of Anissia, her husband Mayank and her family members. These bank accounts will also be examined.

BMW car, diamond ring given in dowry

At present, the Delhi Police registered a case of dowry murder under section 304 B of IPC against Mayank and his parents on the complaint of Anissia’s mother. So far, no one has come up to represent Mayank’s family.

Police say that the relatives of Anissia have complained against the in-law’s of harassing Anissia. They have also alleged that Mayank Singhaniya had married Anissia by concealing his first marriage. Police seized mobile phones of Anissia and Mayank. According to the police, family members of Anissia gave Mayank a BMW car and diamond ring in dowry that have been seized by the police.
