Donald Trump-Vladimir Putin meeting takes place in Helsinki
The first summit meeting started between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Prior to meeting Putin, Trump has expressed hope of ‘extraordinary’ relations. This meeting is being keenly followed due to the ongoing trade wars between US and China . Experts claim that the outcome of this meeting is expected to impact many areas of the world.
When asked about Putin’s meeting, Trump said it was a very good start. Both the heads of state met in the closed room. During this meeting, the translator was present in the room besides the two. Russian President Putin said that Russia never interfered in the US elections.
The meeting between the two presidents took place in the President’s house, located in Finland’s capital Helsinki. Russian media has praised Trump before meeting with Putin and said that this exercise will help the two nations come closer to each other and work together.
Full confidentiality of the meeting of both the leaders was kept. According to sources associated with the White House, both countries are having one-to-one talks at the President House in Helsinki, and in addition to them, only their government translators are present in the room.
