Heavy rains destroy sets of Varun Dhawan- Alia Bhatt starer ‘Kalank’
On Thursday morning the residents of NCR were greeted with heavy rain. But while the rains brought much needed relief from the scorching heat, traffic jams, water logging and building collapse have also occureddue to the rains. Where Delhi’s condition has become after heavy rains for the past couple of days, Mumbai has been struggling with torrential rains and water logging for some time now. It is being reported that due to the heavy rains of Mumbai, the set of film ‘Kalank’, produced under Karan Johar’s production, has collapsed so much that shooting has stopped. Directed by Abhishek Verma, the film has many noted actors like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit and Aditya Roy Kapoor.
Set collapses one day before shoot
These days the shooting of the third schedule of the film was going on, but due to heavy rains shooting was stuck in the middle. According to a report in newspaper DNA which had quoted Filmfare’s report, the set on Mumbai’s Chitrakoot ground for the movie Kalank was destroyed due to rain, fell completely on July 25 due to which the shooting had to be stopped in the middle. Shooting of the film can not begin till next 15 days due to the fall of the set.
