Car returning from Mussoorie falls into gorge, husband-wife die on the spot
An unfortunate accident occurred on the Dehradun-Mussoorie road on Sunday morning. A car lost control and fell into a gorge near Kimadi on the LKD route in Mussoorie . According to the information, four people from Noida were traveling in the car. Two out of four people died in the accident, while two people were injured.
As soon as the incident was reported, the Mussoorie Police 108 Ambulance and Fire Service team reached the spot and started rescue work. But by then two people had died. The team admitted two serious injured to the hospital. It is being told that the four people were returning from Mussoorie to Dehradun by car.
According to the police, the family came from Noida to visit Mussoorie. Neeraj Tyagi (55) and his wife Shagun Tyagi aged 52 years died on the spot of the accident. While the driver, Ashok Kumar and Neeraj Tyagi’s daughter Aarushi Tyagi are seriously injured.
Police received information on phone
According to the police, a phone call came that Neeraj Tyagi who was traveling with this family from Mussoorie has not reached home yet, on which Inspector along with the force went for a search operation on the Kimadi-Dehradun road. On the information, Superintendent of Police, Municipal and Regional Officer, Mussoorie also reached the spot. An intensive search campaign was carried out in an area of about 10 kilometers.
Car found in 300 m deep gorge
At around 9 am, the car fell into a trench about 300 meters from the road near the Bata Ghat bridge on Kimadi Road, in which 4 persons were trapped. After much effort, the stranded persons were taken out by the police team and SDRF team and transported to private hospital in Dehradun through 108 emergency services. In this accident, Shagun Tyagi and Neeraj Tyagi had died on the spot.
