Uttarakhand tourism board to a portal for booking home stays across the state
Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council is going to start online booking facility for home stays across the state. Its registration process has started. Soon the board will launch a separate portal for this. Through the portal, not only the country but also tourists from all over the world will be able to reach the home stay by booking directly.
At present more than five thousand home stays are registered in the state. Information about name, address, phone number etc. of each home stay is available on the website of the Tourism Department. Till now there was no centralized system for booking these home stays.
Tourism Development Council has started preparations for this. Home stay operators will have to give consent letter for free registration of home stay on the online platform. For this, they will have to fill the name of their home stay, name of the owner, registration number, total number of rooms, category of home stay, district, mobile number and e-mail on the prescribed format and submit it to the Tourism Development Council.
Online booking facility available
After this consent, all home stays will be provided the facility of online booking for travelers and tourists by the Council. This portal will benefit domestic and international tourists looking for accommodation options in the state.
For this the council will adopt a streamlined booking process. It is believed that this will increase the income of home stays. Those who do not have the facility to promote themselves will get the opportunity to book directly through this portal.
