Tirupati Balaji temple to be closed for 6 days in August

A big news related to the world famous Tirupati Balaji Temple of Lord Venkateswara located in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh came out. It is being told that for the first time in history, the temple of Lord Venkateswara is being closed for 6 consecutive days. According to the information, this famous temple will be closed till 6 P.M.on August 9 to 6 A.M on August 17. The temple administration (TTD) has taken this decision in a special meeting held on Sunday. This decision of the temple administration can be a little difficult for pilgrims.

Why Tirupati temple is being closed for 6 days?

It is being told that such a decision has been taken to make an Vedic ritual which comes after every 12 years. According to the information, during this ritual, only priests will be allowed to enter the temple, which will serve as the cleaning, purification and repair of the temple. This is one of the major reasons for closing the temple.
Another reason for closing the temple is that due to it being the second Saturday, Sunday and Independence Day of the month there is a possibility of huge crowd of devotees in the temple. In such a situation, it would be impossible to implement a system of restricted sighting in the temple. Because of which the temple administration has decided to close the temple for the whole week.

From 9th August, the hill will be closed

According to the temple administration pilgrims will be prevented from coming to the hills on 9th August. After that, it will take a full day to clean the temple premises. According to this, till the night of August 10, the whole of Tirumala will be empty from the pilgrims.
