Tree saves bus full of passengers from falling into gorge in Nainital
The bus of Haldwani roadways started suddenly falling into a gorge after losing control. It was a miracle that instead of falling completely in the gorge the bus just stuck on the tree and avoided having a big accident.
The incident occured at about five o’clock in the evening yesterday. Around fifteen kilometer from Nainital, on the Haldwani-Nainital road near jeolikot road a roadways bus slipped into a 20-meter gorge near bend number 1. At the same time, the tree prevented the bus from falling further down. After this a crowd of people started gathering on the spot. Some people informed the incident to the police. At the same time, the life of all passengers aboard the bus was hanging by a thread. They were shouting for help. As soon as the incident was reported, the police arrived on the spot and started rescue operations. It was a miracle that all 35 passenger and children survived on the bus. Right on the information, MLA Sanjeev Arya, ADM Harbir Singh reached the spot. It is being told that many passengers have been injured in the accident and they have been sent to Haldwani hospital. According to the eyewitnesses, if bus did not fall on trees and bushes, there could be a big accident.
