2 dead in landslides in Chamoli
In Chamoli district of Uttarakhand late on Wednesday, two siblings were buried in the debris from the hill. Suddenly the landslide triggered an uproar in the entire area. Incident happened at Buralidhar Tok, in the village of Farkhet. Gabbar Lal and Shabbar Lal, who were sleeping in their house were buried under debris due to landslides during heavy rains late at around 11 pm late night.
On the other hand, a guest who came from nearby village staying in their house somehow managed to escape and save himself. During this, he too has been seriously injured. Tehsildar Sohan Singh reached the spot. At the same time the administration team and the local people were involved in rescue operations. After the accident, the dead bodies of both the brothers have been recovered from the rubble.
Elsewhere, after seven days of heavy rain in Tehri district, seven people of the same family were buried alive after landslide. Most of the dead were women and children.
