B.Tech student of Birla Institute gets Rs 98 lakh package from CERN

Munir Khan, a fourth year student who has been doing B.Tech from Electronics and Communication Engineering at Birla Institute, has got a huge achievement. The Geneva-based European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) has placed Munir on the package of 98 lakh. It is claimed that this package is the largest package given to an Indian this year.

CERN is the world’s largest particle physics laboratory. During his course study at the institute, Munir Khan has contributed in many projects related to electronics and computers in France, Holmes State University, Russia, DRDO, Dehradun and NIT Calicut. He has also been awarded the Young Scientist Award by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

HOD of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of the Institute Dr. Hem Pandey, who has gone to CERN twice, said that Munir Khan was also selected for fellowship for PhD in Boston University USA during the study. Munir Khan, who comes from Lucknow, has thanked his Professors, Director of the Institute. Prof. BS Bisht, Head of the Department Dr. Hem Pandey and family members. On this global achievement, the director of the institute, the head of the department, Dr. Neeraj Pandey, congratulated Munir.
