BJP leader and ex-army man attacked with Iron rod in Kashipur
Two miscreants attacked BJP leader and ex-army man on Saturday night outside his house. BJP leader saved his life by fleeing from the spot. After the incident, the miscreants escaped and fled from a car. On information, the police admitted the BJP leader to the government hospital. Mangal Singh is the General Secretary BJP of the Rural Board. The police have been given the complaint for the incident, although the reports have not been lodged yet.
At twelve pm on Saturday night, BJP leader and ex-army member Mangal Singh was sleeping with his family at his house in the Himalayan Colony, located in Kundeshwari. During this time two people came in a car and knocked on the door of Mangal Singh Rawat’s house. As soon as Mangal Singh came out of the house, both said that their car is locked in the police station, and asked him to release it. When Mangal Singh asked who was the owner of car, one of the man hit his head with a sharp weapon.
Mangal saved his life by fleeing somehow. Seeing the incident, the families raised noise, the surrounding people gathered. Secretary of the former military organization Vijay Pant, RK Purohit called the Kundeshwari police but there was no one in the post. Then Kashipur Kotwali was informed. After this Kotwali police admitted the injured to Kashipur Government Hospital. Mangal Singh, who was being treated at the hospital on Sunday evening, told that he has no tiff with any of them.
Fury among ex-servicemen
On Sunday, the ex-servicemen surrounded the Kundeshwari post in protest against the injuries caused by unknown persons to Mangal Singh. Chowki incharge Khushwant Singh said that police will investigate the case and arrest the accused at the earliest.
