Jio Gigafiber registrations to begin from August 15
Registration for Reliance Jio GigaFiber will start on August 15. According to the report, the plan can start from 500 rupees. This bundled offer will also have an internet-based TV service with ultra high-speed internet.
According to a report by ET, the company will launch GigaFiber during the Festive Season before Diwali. Under this, the speed of 100Mbps can be availed from 700 to 1000 rupees and data limit up to 100GB will be available. However, for TV service, an additional Rs 250-300 may apply separately.
Clearly, the company will compete with other broadband and telecom companies with aggressive plans. Experts believe that Jio Home Broadband prices will be 25-30% cheaper than existing 4G mobile data rates.
Jio GigaFiber is based on Fiber to the Home ie FTTH. FTTH means that if you need an internet service then a cable will be given to your home.At present the cable you get for the internet is not capable of supporting high speed internet.
High Speed will also be available due to FTTH
The cable used for this service provides fast connectivity compared to others. It will be better than current cable and will get high speed connectivity and online gaming will be even better.
The company has been doing FTTH testing for two years. The feature of this service will be that GigaTV can also be used in it. Apart from this, smart home devices will also be able to connect through this network. During the launch, the company has said that it will be able to convert every socket in the house to smart socket.
