No weekend lockdown in 4 districts of Uttarakhand this week

Due to Rakshabandhan, the four districts i.e Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar of Uttarakhand will be unlocked on Saturday and Sunday this week. The state government has decided not to impose lockdown in the public interest in view of the festival. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has asked the Chief Secretary to issue instructions in this regard.

To prevent corona infection, the government had decided to lockdown in Dehradun, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts on Saturday and Sunday. the four districts are having the maximum number of cases reported in the state. For the past two weeks, the lockdown was implemented on Saturday-Sunday in all four districts. In view of Rakshabandhan, the Doon Industry Trade Board had demanded the government not to implement the lockdown this week.

In a formal interaction with the media at the Secretariat on Wednesday, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that due to Raksha Bandhan this week, the four plains districts will remain unlocked on Saturday-Sunday. During the festival, people and traders should not be inconvenienced by the lockdown. For this, the government has decided to unlock.

All programs of BJP Uttarakhand postponed due to Corona

Due to Corona, Uttarakhand BJP has postponed all its programs to be held in the near future. The required meeting will be held in virtual form. BJP state president Banshidhar Bhagat said that keeping in mind the current situation of Corona period in the state, the party has canceled all programs in the near future.
