Masood Azhar declared global terrorist by UNSC

Terrorist Masood Azhar has been declared an international terrorist by the United Nations. The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has taken this action against the leader of the Jaish-e-Mohammad gangster Masood Azhar.Jaish-e-Mohammed had attacked CRPF convoy in Pulwama on February 14th. The bus carrying the CRPF jawans was blown up by the blast. 40 CRPF personnel were martyred in this terrorist attack. Since then, India was constantly trying to declare Masood a global terrorist. Now 75 days later, India has got success.

To declare Masood Azhar a global terrorist, members of the UN Security Council United States, Britain, France were constantly trying, but repeatedly China was vetoing it. In nearly 10 years, China had vetoed 4 times. In 2009, 2016, 2017 and February 2019, China had vetoed the proposal, but due to pressure from the international level, China removed the veto and after this Masood Azhar was declared a global terrorist.

France welcomes UN decision

France welcomed the Security Council decision, France has been trying to declare Azhar as a terrorist for many years. The French government banned Masood on March 15th. Security Council has also stamped on France’s efforts today.

Indian Ambassador to the United Nations Syed Akbaruddin said that “this was an important step which we had been waiting for many years, today this goal has been achieved, all the countries that support this effort, the United Nations Security Council, I am thankful to the standing members of the United States, the UK, France, who are present in the Council and not even a member of the Council.”

In the big fight against terrorism, India has finally won a major victory. Indian Ambassador to the UN Syed Akbaruddin said that for this, everyone took the initiative and this is a big success for India.

This decision has been taken when the United Nations 1267 Section Committee had refused to join Masood Azhar’s Pulwama attack and terrorist activities in Kashmir.
