‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ movie director held for GST fraud

Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, director of the movie “The Accidental Prime Minister”, has been arrested in Mumbai. He has been charged with GST fraud. Ratnakar is accused of fraud of 34 crore rupees.

According to media reports, a case has been registered against Vijay under Section 132 (1) (C) of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act (CGST). He has been arrested by the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGSTI).
Vijay Ratnakar Gutte is the son of sugar businessman Ratnakar Gutte. VRG Digital Corp Pvt Ltd, Vijay Gutte’s company is alleged to have committed GST related fraud of Rs 34 crores through fraudulent invoices. According to the news coming, the police say that Vijay Gutte is not cooperating in the investigation.
Actor Anupam Kher is playing the role of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the movie ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’. This film is based on the book of Manmohan Singh’s former media adviser Sanjay Baru. Baru’s role in the film is played by Akshay Khanna and Divya Seth Shahar is potraying wife of Manmohan Singh, Gursharan Kaur on screen. This is the first film of Vijay Ratnakar Gifta as director. The film will be released on December 21.
