Activists protest in Dehradun demanding Gairsain to be made permanent capital

Several activists traveled to the assembly demanding the creation of a permanent capital in Gairsain. The activists warned that the agitation will be expedited to make Gairsain a permanent capital.

The workers of the Gairsain sangharsh samittee gathered in the Shahid memorial at Kachhari demanding capital of Uttarakhand be shifted to Gairsain from Dehradun. While protesting against the government, the demonstrators marched to assembly.

Protesters were barricaded around the Assembly and were stopped near the assembly. In the meantime, concrete steps were taken to protect the administrative officials so that no protesters could perform around the assembly premises.
