Dehradun residents to face power cut for 5 days

In the next five days, in many parts of the city, consumers may have to face power cut problems. If the weather is okay, according to the fixed shutdown of UPCL, electricity will remain in the afternoon in the areas connected with the four power stations of the city. The electricity will be effected due to  installation of sectionalizer on 11 KV lines of different power stations. This shutdown will be affect by thousands of people of dozens of areas belonging to Vasant Vihar, Aaragh, Turner Road, Bindal power stations. UPCL spokesman AK Singh said that the lines of power plants are being connected through the sectionisizer. In order to prevent the power cut in areas ahead of breakdown of the line in any area, this system is being updated.

This will be the power cut schedule
September 14 – 11 am to 4 pm Vasant Vihar, Indiranagar, Shaikhi Market, New Eastern Mohit Nagar, Anurag Chowk, Rambagh
On September 15– Turner Road, Shimla Bypass, Shimla Enclave, Prakash Lok, Devalok, Pithuwala, Sevakalan, Doon Enclave, Rajendranagar, Kaulagarh Road, ONGC Colony, Kishnagar, from 11 am to 4 pm.
On September 16, from 11 am to 4 pm, Vasant Vihar, ITBP, Indiranagar, Sai Lok, Shastri Nagar, Rishivihar, CBI Colony, Audit Colony, Jal Nigam Colony, Doon School, Mall Road, Police Chowki Bindal, Chakrata Road, Kishanagar Extension , Sirmaur Marg
On 17th September– 11am to 4pm at Chakrata Road, Machhi Bazar, Luni Mohalla, Chukkhuwala.
On 18th September– Circular Road, Inder Road, Araghar, from 11am to 4pm

Due to the shutdown of UPCL on Thursday, from 11 am to 4 pm, areas related to the Vasant Vihar power plant are facing partial and full power cut in ITBP, Seemdar, Indiranagar, Sai Lok, Shastri Nagar, Rishi Vihar, CBI Colony, Audit Colony, Jal Nigam Colony, Jalgaon Colony. There is a problem of electricity in these areas. People were not already aware of the schedule. Because of this, the normal functioning of the people was affected.
