Former army personnel shots self in Rudraprayag
A former retired army officer shot himself with his licensed gun, which killed him on his spot. At around 8 in the morning, 43-year-old Sant Lal son Govind Lal, who was resident of Makhanda village in Guptkashi, was alone in the room, his children and his wife was in the kitchen. Police station in-charge Rajendra Rautela arrived with a police force and stopped the body from being cremated. The body was brought back to his house again. After filling the panchanama, the body was sent for post-mortem.
Thana in-charge told that the Sant Lal retired from the army 4 years ago. At night he complained of chest pain to his wife. After this there was no talk of his wife and both children.
