Japan’s strongest typhoon in 25 years Jebi wrecks havoc

Typhoon Jebi, the strongest one to hit Japan in 25 years has wrecked havoc. Two people have died due to the storm and more than 126 people have been injured. In the storm-hit areas, there are strong winds and rains.

Water is flooded at Kansai Airport, an important airport in Japan. The airport is completely closed. Many planes standing at the airport have been submerged in the water. There is no definitive information about how the movement of aircraft will start at this airport. The bullet train has been canceled between Tokyo and Okayama. About 600 domestic aircraft flights were canceled in West Japan. Rail services operated on trains and high-speed rail services such as Osaka-Hiroshima Road have been closed indefinitely.

An oil tanker collided with a bridge due to high winds in the same area. However, there is no news of any casualties in it. Due to the strong winds in Osaka, the roof of the houses flew into the air and several vehicles were upturned. In Central and Western Japan, people have been asked to stay in homes. The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains and landslides. Traffic has been interrupted at many places.
