Another IED blast attack on army in Pulwama
On Monday, terrorists attacked a military convoy in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir with IED blast. Three jawans were injured in this attack. Police spokesman said that militants targeted a car, bullet and land mine-proof vehicle of 44 national rifles near Idgah Arihal on the Arrihal-Lisspora road in this district of south Kashmir.
There is no news of any casualties in the attack but the army surrounded the area and opened fire in the air. This place is 27 kilometers from the attack on February 14.
In the encounter between security forces and militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday, one Major of the army became martyred while another officer and two jawans were injured. A militant has been killed in the encounter. A Major rank officer was martyred in an encounter in Achabal of Anantnag district of south Kashmir while another officer and two jawans of the same rank were injured.
Officials said the injured have been admitted to Army’s 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar. They said that an unknown militant has also been killed in the encounter and his body has been recovered. Officials said weapons and ammunition guns have also been recovered from the encounter site. They told that the killed terrorists are being identified.
The officials told that after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists, the security forces started a search operation by siege the Achabal area on Monday morning and started a search operation. The militants started firing on the forces after which the encounter started.
