Amazon-Flipkart register record sales in Festive Sale offer

E-commerce companies Amazon and Flipkart have claimed that within just two days of the festival sale launch this week, they broke the sales record. Both companies say that more sales have been done in the first two days than the sales done in the last five days.

Amazon India said the sale on Wednesday under the ‘Great Indian Festival’ sale, which will be running from October 10 to 15, has been one of the biggest records in one day till now. It has the largest contribution from smartphones and large devices. The company claims that during this period, three out of the four smartphones purchased in the country are from its online platform. Likewise, Flipkart has also claimed that the beginning of the ‘Big Billion Day’ sale was unbelievable from October 10 to 14, and within the first 26 hours, it sold as much as it did in five days last year. The company had previously set a target of $ 1.5 billion sales. This means that the company has so far surpassed this target and it has completed sales of 55 hundred crore rupees.


3 billion dollars sales possible

Business Consulting firm ‘RedSeer” said in its report that the two companies have completed the goal of selling $ 1.5 billion in the first two days. This is equal to the total sale of five days last year. In such a case, till the completion of five days of the sale, the two companies will definitely touch the figure of $ 3 billion.

Smartphones contribute half of the sales

Redseer says that half of the total sales of e-commerce companies are just from smartphones. According to the report, smartphone share of about $ 1.5 billion was $ 80 million in the first two days.
