Hemkund Sahib opening date for 2022 announced
The doors of Gurudwara Shri Hemkund Sahib, the famous shrine of Sikhs, will be opened for devotees on Sunday, May 22 at 10:30 am this year. After the date of opening of the doors is fixed, Gurdwara Shri Hemkund Sahib Management Trust has started preparations for the convenience of the pilgrims. Narendrajit Singh Bindra, Vice President of Gurdwara Shri Hemkund Sahib Management Trust, announced the date of opening of the doors of Hemkund Sahib for 2022.
He told that the members of the trust, after the inspection by the Indian Army and their team, have taken a decision to open the doors on 22 May after consultation with the Uttarakhand government. For the convenience of the pilgrims on the Yatra route, the Trust has started the work of maintenance in all the Gurudwaras, Dharamshalas and resting places. In the second week of April, the Indian Army will start snow removal process. He also wished the journey success.
