Gun wielding Ashish Pandey surrenders after 3 days; sent to 1 day remand

Ashish Pandey, son of former BSP MP Rakesh Pandey, surrendered at Patiala House Court in Delhi on Thursday, accused of creating frenzy in the capital’s five-star hotel, Hyatt Regency. After the surrender by Ashish Pandey, the police arrested him. The police asked the court to grant them custody of the accused Ashish Pandey for a four-day remand. The government counsel said that we need remand of the accused because we have to go to Lucknow so that evidences can be recovered. After hearing the arguments of the parties, the court has sent Ashish to a day’s police remand.
Before surrendering, Ashish in a video said that “I was presented as a terrorist. Police across the country are searching for me. Look Out Circular has been issued against me. If you look at the CCTV footage, you will find who was trying to enter that toilet that night and who was threatening.”
Ashish said that “I had taken the gun for my safety and I did not have to threaten him. He said that the girl pushed me and made obscene gestures. I have complete faith in the judicial process and therefore I am surrendering.”

What was the case

Ashish wearing a pink pant in the video was seen threatening a young woman and a man accompanying her with pistol. There were three girls along with Ashish, one of whom was also abusive. According to the police, this video is of 3:40 a.m. on October 13/14. The incident is near the P level guest elevator area of ​​the hotel.
