US ready to mediate India-China border dispute says President Trump

Amid growing military tension between India and China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh, US President Donald Trump has offered to become a mediator to resolve the matter. In a tweet, Trump said, “We have informed both India and China that the United States is ready, willing and able to mediate or arbitrate their now raging border dispute. Thank you!”

On this dispute, China’s Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday that the situation along the Indian border is overall stable and under control. The statement also said that both countries have appropriate mechanisms and communication mediums to resolve issues through dialogue and deliberation.
