Iga Swiatek wins third French Open title

Iga Swiatek won the French Open 2023 Final to claim her 4th Grand Slam. Earlier, she had won the French Open Grand Slam title in the years 2020 and 2022 while in 2022 she won the US Open. The 22-year-old Iga won the first set brilliantly 6-2, while Karolina Muchova came back in the second set and won the set 7-5, showing that she is not one to give up easily.

The deciding set was very exciting. Both the players were seen giving tough competition to each other. Muchova was leading in the third set at one point but she could not maintain the rhythm till the last and Swiatek captured the trophy by winning the third and final set 6-4. Iga reached the final without losing any set. At present, she is performing consistently well. After the title win, she has also retained her number one ranking.
