13 step stairs of Eiffel Tower auctioned for 170000 Euro

A portion of the Eiffel tower stairs included in 7 wonders of the world has been auctioned. In the bid of tremendous auction in Paris on Tuesday, these stairs of the Eiffel Tower were sold for around 170,000 Euros (about one crore 36 lakh). This amount of auction is almost three times higher than the estimated cost before the sale.

On Tuesday, the auctioneers said that between two and a third floor of this monument called the identity of the capital Paris, the two-and-a-half dozen iron steel stairs were bought by a Middle Eastern collector for 170,000 Euros. Before the auction, the auction house artworks had an estimated cost of these stairs between 40,000 and 60,000 euros.

These stairs of the 13 steps, about 4.3 meters high, are part of the private Canadian collection, which was connected to them since the formation of the Eiffel tower in 1889. In 1889, the great French engineer Gustav Eiffel had prepared the Eiffel Tower for the Paris Universal Exhibition. Its height is 324 meters, which is France’s most visited monument. Visitors from around the world arrive here to see this.
It is still the third tallest structure in the country and it remained the world’s tallest building for 41 years till the Chrysler Building in New York in 1930. The stairs were removed in 1983 to make the lift of the elevator in the Eiffel Tower. These stairs were divided into 24 parts, whose height was between two to nine meters.
