Deepak Dhopola claims 7 as Uttarakhand bundle out Manipur for 137 in Ranji match

Team Uttarakhand continued their impressive momentum from their debut game against Bihar in their second match against Manipur. Uttarakhand bowlers dominated Manipur’s team. Like the first match Uttarakhand bowler Deepak Dhopola proved to be the wrecker in chief for the visitors claiming seven wickets. As a result Manipur were bundled out for 137 runs.

Uttarakhand team is playing its second Ranji match at Abhimanyu Cricket Academy, Dehradun. Prior to that, Uttarakhand team had defeated Bihar by ten wickets in the first Ranji match. The Uttarakhand team will try to continue this winning campaign.

Captain of Uttarakhand won the toss and decided to field first. The start of the Manipur team was not ideal and the team kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

Manipur team got the first blow in the third over when the team’s score was nine runs. Deepak Dhopola gave the team Uttarakhand the first breakthrough. Deepak cleaned the Lakhan Arjun (0) and Prajat (06) of Manipur. Manipur scored 31 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 12 overs.
Manipur felt the third blow, when there opener was dismissed after scoring 32 runs. He was dismissed by Sunny Rana. Manipur lost five wickets for 97 runs in 30 overs.

Immediately before lunch, Manipur’s lost its sixth wicket. Deepak Dhopola picked up his fifth wicket as Manipur’s Shashikant scored three runs. With this the lunch was announced.
Manipur captain Yashpal Singh was run out on a personal score of 32 runs.  After this, the decline of Manipur’s woes continued. The team were 9 down for 111 runs.

The entire team of Manipur was bundled out for 137 runs. For Uttarakhand, Deepak Dhopola got seven, Malulan Rangarajan took one wicket and Sunny Rana got one wicket. In reply, Uttarakhand made a sedate start. The first blow to the team was in the form of Vineet Saxena (27). At the time of writing Uttarakhand’s score is 59 for one in 14 overs. Karanveer Kaushal is playing on 29 runs.
