Solar Eclipse 2020: Ring of Fire seen in Dehradun

Today is the first solar eclipse of the year. This will be an annular solar eclipse. Such a view is rarely seen on Earth. The sun will look like a glowing ring. This eclipse is seen in North India. It can also be seen in Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Kurukshetra, Chamoli, Sirsa.

Solar eclipse appeared like ring of fire in Dehradun

The moon came in direct line between the Sun and the Earth today creating a solar eclipse which was seen from many places in India including Dehradun.

 

This eclipse is happening on the biggest day of the year. When the Moon enters between the Earth and the Sun and completely covers the central part of the Sun. This event is called annular solar eclipse. As a result, the circle of the Sun appears like a glowing ring. Due to the eclipse, the temples in the country will remain closed till 4 pm today.

The shadow of the moon will cover 99 percent of the sun. In such a situation, the part of the sun will remain illuminated and the middle part will be completely covered by the shadow of the moon. This eclipse will be seen in various parts of the country and the world. This eclipse is being given great importance in astrology.
