New mall to be constructed in Haridwar
Unity Mall will open soon in Haridwar. Urban Development and Housing Minister Premchand Aggarwal has approved the proposal related to this. This Unity Mall, is estimated to be built at a cost of Rs 164 crore, will give the message of unity in diversity. There will be one shop each from all the states of the country.
The minister said that with the opening of Unity Mall, devotees and tourists coming to Haridwar will be able to purchase famous handicrafts, clothes and other items from any state of the country under one roof.
Unity Mall will be constructed
Minister Aggarwal said that Haridwar-Roorkee Development Authority will construct Unity Mall in Jwalapur on Haridwar-Delhi Highway. For this, land has been marked near Ranipur. From DPR to design have been finalized. He said that traditional clothes, handicrafts and other products from different parts of the country will be available at one place in the mall.
Traditional products of Uttarakhand will get recognition
Unity Mall is designed to create an engaging, relaxing shopping experience rooted in the vibrancy and diversity of India’s traditional textiles, handicrafts. This will also give a new identity to the traditional products of Uttarakhand.
He informed that cultural glimpses of different states will also be seen in Unity Mall. Besides, entertainment has also been taken care of there. An open cinema hall will also be built in the multi-storey mall, in which short plays or films can be watched from any floor.
