Lok Janshakti Party protested against amended SC/ST Act

Earlier, the Dalit army associated with Lok Janshakti Party urged the government to issue ordinance against a decision of the Supreme Court as soon as possible to improve the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Prevention Law and said that if this is not done, they will start a movement from 9th August.
The leaders had said that the Supreme Court had given a verdict on March 20 regarding certain provisions of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes, which has weakened this law.
