No new Corona cases reported in Uttarakhand in last 24 hours

No new corona patients were found in the state on Tuesday, May 5. A total of 230 samples were reported from Haldwani, Dehradun and AIIMS Rishikesh labs, out of which none of the patients were found positive. Additional secretary health Yugal Kishore Pant said that no new case of corona has come to light in the state on Tuesday.

He said that there are 61 corona patients in the state so far, out of which 39 have been cured after treatment. While 21 patients are under treatment. He said that on Tuesday, samples of a total of 146 patients have been sent from hospitals across the state for examination.

A maximum of 51 patients have been sent from the Udham Singh Nagar district while 48 samples from Nainital have been sent for examination. 16 samples have been sent from Dehradun district for investigation. He said that the rate of recovery of patients in the state is steadily improving. The state’s recovery rate is 64 percent, with the infectious rate of patients being 0.81. A total of 8060 samples have been examined so far in the state. Out of which 7357  have tested negative for Covid-19.

50 thousand people were home-quarantined

The number of home-quarantined people has started to increase once again in the state. After the possibility of infection in the people ended and the 28-day period was over, this number had fallen to 15 thousand.

But according to the Health Bulletin released on Tuesday, the number of home-quarantined people in the state has increased to close to fifty thousand. There has been an increase in the number of people due to the return of people and migrants from one district to another in the state.

The new cases of corona that have come up in AIIMS Rishikesh at very regular intervals are cause for concern. It is a matter of relief that Pauri and Almora have been declared corona free. Because there is no new case of corona in these two districts for the last one month.

There is another relief news for Dehradun which was placed from Red to Orange Zone at the beginning of Lockdown 3.0. Out of the three settlements that were separately declared lockdown zones on April 6 for the Corona infection, one has been excluded from the lockdown. This  includes Lakkhibagh of Dehradun.
