Ramayan Express train between India-Sri Lanka to begin from today

Indian Railways is going to start the Ramayan Express from today (Wednesday). This special tourism train will depart from Delhi’s Safdarjung station. This will be a collective package of 16 days, in India, all the important places connected with Lord Rama will be accompanied by a visit of 4 places of Sri Lanka.

After departing from Delhi, the train will be the first stop in Ayodhya and after this it will halt at Hanuman Garhi, Ramkot and Kanak Bhawan temple. The train will cover important places of the Ramayana circuit like Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Varanasi, Prayag, Shringpur, Chitrakoot, Nasik, Hampi and Rameswaram. The train will complete its journey in Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu in 16 days.

According to the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), tour packages will be arranged for dining, accommodation, sightseeing tours in the Dharmashalas and the tour manager of IRCTC will also visit the entire tour with tourists.

Ticket price of Ramayan Express

The Sri Ramayan Express train will have a total capacity of 800 passengers and the cost per person will be 15,120 rupees. Sri Lanka part of the tour tour will be charged separately, passengers can take flight from Chennai to Colombo.

Package of 5 nights and 6 days Sri Lanka tour package will cost Rs 36,970 per person. This tour package will include destinations such as Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Colombo and Negombo.

IRCTC recently conducted the AC tourism train from Panchayat, Chitrakoot, Sringerpur, Tulsi Manas temple, Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, Ayodhya and Rameswaram from the Ramayana Circuit of Trivandrum from August 28 to September 9, 2018.
