Thugs of Hindostan creates records on opening day despite negative reviews
The audience were eagerly waiting for the release of Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Sheikh starrer “Thugs of Hindostan” for a long time. The story and direction of the film, released one day after Diwali, is not being according to the expectations of audience and critics. Audiences have a bad review about the film. Despite all this, the Thugs of Hindostan has already made 4 records on Day 1 of its release.
# 1. Hindi movie with the highest advance booking
According to different box office reports, 2 lakh tickets of Thugs of Hindistan were booked for the first day. This is being the biggest advance booking for any Bollywood film so far. It has broken the record of Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai this year, Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju and Avengers.
#2. The Most Expensive Digital Rights
According to media reports, the satellite and digital rights of the Thugs of Hindostan have already been sold for 150 crore before the release. This year Salman Khan’s Race 3’s Digital and Satellite rights were sold for 130 crores which was the highest for any Bollywood movie.

Thugs of Hindostan has been released globally over 7000 screens. Earlier, Bahubali 2 was released on 6500 screens worldwide. Thugs broke this record.
# 4. The most expensive Hindi movie
Thugs of Hindostan is set in a budget of about 240 crores. It is said to be Yash Raj Banner and Bollywood’s biggest budget movie. Earlier this record was with “Padmavat”. The budget of Padmavat was said to be about Rs 210 crore. However, 2.0 and Bahubali 2 have been kept separate from this list primarily being South Indian film.
