Use android phones in dark mode to enhance battery confirms Google

Google has finally confirmed that keeping Android phones in dark mode costs less and saves battery life.

Slag Gear reported Thursday late night, “Google has disclosed a bit of information about how your phone consumes a battery. They disclosed this week in the Android Dave Committee and told the developers what they can do in their apps to prevent over-consumption of batteries.”

The report further states, “The biggest factor in consuming batteries is the brightness of the screen, and the color of the screen is also there.” Dark mode turns the color of the overall operating system (OS) or applications into black.

Internet giants showed in the presentation how dark mode consumes 43 percent less battery compared to ‘normal mode’ at full brightness level, while traditionally too much white is being used.

The technology giant also took accepted the mistake of encouraging app developers to use the white color for their applications, in which Google itself was involved.
